Outdoor Lighting and outdoor house lighting can mean two different things. Out. house lighting is lights that you may install on, or aim at, your home. Out. lighting can be any lighting installed outside the home including garden and patio for example. Take a look at how they can transform the appearance of your home
For some dull people outside illumination may be just a simple spot light or lantern above the door of the house but with a little thought so much more is possible. Using it can have a truly stunning effect on the appearance of a home. Let’s look at some ideas:
A great idea is to fit down-lighters in the fascia boards around the outside of the house. Make sure the lighters are for external use as they will be exposed to the elements. Space them out well and create a modern lighting effect.
The old way of using a light above the front door is a bit dated nowadays, and make sure to avoid old fashioned lanterns or commercial looking spotlights. The purpose of these spots is to brighten your entry into the house, and help find your keys in the dark! Choose from some great designs of units for this purpose, modern chrome down-lights are a favourite.
Try placing spots or floodlights in front of the house and point them at the house from a distance. This technique is often used on large public buildings but it can be just as smart on a small home. Spots fitted up high walls pointing down can also create a good light effect.
Remember that extra lights around the home can add to your security thieves hate brightly lit homes preferring to work in the shadows. Even from your own safety point of view a little extra lighting can help avoid falls.
