A Plan for The Economic Crisis

With the economic crisis, we all need to take a look at our finances and find ways to cut back and live within our means. This is also good advice for our government. Our government needs to set a better example of controlling spending and sticking to their budget. When the government advocates spending or bailing out businesses with taxpayer’s money, it makes a mockery out of our capitalistic roots. The economy did not get in the shape it is in because of the free market. It got in this mess by the reckless use of taxpayer’s money, greed, and miss-management by corporate CEOs.
As individuals, we have to change our habits and learn to manage. Can one person make a difference in this economic crisis? The answer is yes. Start by controlling your money instead of letting it control you. What you need is a plan? The best plan that I have found is a budget. A budget will put you in control of your money. Sometimes, we all feel like we are a slave to our money, because it is passing through our hands to someone else. How can we hold on to some of that money? By budgeting, you have a specific plan that puts you in control. A budget helps you control your spending and think about where you are at all times with your money. The government need to heed this advice and stop spending money we don't have. We can not borrow ourself out of debt.

I begin again.

Last year is gone, and I begin again with a new year. A time to make new goals, and work toward accomplishing all the things that slipped by me last year. Time goes by fast leaving me amazed at how little I accomplished, but maybe it is time to slow my pace and take time to enjoy each blessed day I have been given. Sometimes, I find myself rushing through the day trying to get everything done, and I fail to see the people and the beauty around me. This year my goal is to set fewer goals and task for myself, which I pray, will give me the time to enjoy my family and the beautiful world around me.

Life is a gift. I want to appreciate life more. As I move forward into this year, I want to appreciate the people in my life, the beauty in my surroundings, and the love that God has given me.

In living a simple life, I chose to slow down and enjoy the gift of my life.
