This month I read Sam's Letters to Jennifer by James Patterson and The Choice by Nicholas Sparks. Both books were entertaining and enjoyable to read. Sam's Letters to Jennifer was a different kind of story than the ones we usually get from James Patterson. I loved it! I wish he would write more books like this. Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors and I read all of his new releases.
In simple living concepts, I want to emphasize the beauty and joy in living our lives with all of the ups and downs, and the growth we get in the ever changing cycle of life. In both of these books by Patterson and Sparks, we are reminded of the process of change over a period of time. It is amazing to find that people we have know all of our lives, we really don't know them deep down. We are all unique and have special qualities and sometimes we learn about these wonderful traits in a grandmother or grandfather, when we finally take the time to hear their story.
We need to take the time to read a good book, to learn about the people that enters our lives, and take the time to visit those grandparents, aunts, and uncles that are shut-in and not able to get out. There is so much to learn from them.
